CNC Machinist | 2nd Shift

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist will interpret specifications, enter them in the CNC machine, set up the machine and monitor it as it operates. Understand both programming and operating in addition to setup. Make critical contributions to ensure the excellence of our product by following inspection protocols and detecting errors before products are released.

  • Monday-Thursday | 4:00pm-2:30am

Position Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret programs, enter them into controller and alter them to correct mistakes if necessary
  • Discuss project specifications with programmer/leadman/supervisor to guarantee consistency between plans and products and collaborate to modify designs if needed
  • Determine fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications and mount them to machine prior to cutting operation
  • Modify machine speed, tooling to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts
  • Oversee machining process, adjust if needed, take necessary measures to eliminate errors
  • Ensure equipment has adequate warm-up/cool-down time between jobs
  • Inspect all finished products for accuracy, uniformity, and product quality.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly maintenance tasks. Including lubrication, coolant, cleaning, and tool replacement
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Required to follow all company safety policies and procedures
Position Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2-year experience operating CNC equipment
  • Comfortable using measuring tools and maintaining machinery
  • Familiarity with programming and interpreting CNC programs
  • G-code capability
