Shipping Manager

Position Summary

Join our team as our Shipping Manager! In this role, you will manage and improve all aspects of the shipping process. This position will also maintain and ensure timely, accurate, and secure shipping of products. Our family-owned company has over 100 years of history and quality USA-made manufacturing. Position Responsibilities

• Responsible hiring, training, and managing shipping employees.
• Reports on management of the current state of activities and issues.
• Collaborate with other areas to optimize business processes and practices.
• Oversee shipment documentation and inspect completed orders as necessary.
• Assists w/ negotiating price and service issues for all modes or transportation carrier contracts and determines the appropriate transportation mode to be utilized.
• Must be avaliable to respond to multi-shift operation.

Position Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5-10 years in a shipping position or other applicable work experience.
• Computer experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
